A Jubilee Indulgence
In a culture of material gluttony, it's strangely ironic that people find the Church’s spiritual practice of indulgences incompatible with enlightened faith. During this Jubilee Year of Hope, the Church invites us to a spiritual feast of mercy, which is intended to draw us deeper into a relationship with that reckless generosity of our beloved Savior. Yet misconceptions of this ancient practice abound. Listen in as we discuss the Maternal wisdom that knows how much we continue to need a deeper engagement with divine Love.

Deeper call from my lord to listen for His voice to guide my every breath, thought, action. It would be so handy to have a “list” of known opportunities in our diocese for local pilgrimages, opportunities to receive indulgences.. . And to your comment about our church leaders not nailing the explanation of this, God has given this mission to Preambula. Our priests are so overwhelmed with life and I can’t imagine what they sift through daily to discern what the message should be to the people.

This is so timely! Thanks guys for explaining (Scott, the Holy Spirit so profoundly puts the questions in you that we have so you can pose them in exactly the way we regular people are “seeing things”, confused, not understanding… and then Michel, gosh! Now I get it! And who knew ice been receiving these indulgences because I’m a daily a masser.
